Altered Books

Every child has altered at least one book (I have a Bible with brown crayon marks courtesy of my son) and more than likely been in trouble for doing so!!!
But now we can alter books and create works of art! Here are some images of pages I've done in books for myself or in altered art groups.
While there are other types of altered books (carved or stacked or disassembled), I work in altered books much like I work in
my art journal or on a canvas - with paint, paper and "goodies" - the only difference is the substrate.
Sometimes I use hardcover books, sometimes children's board books - but any sturdy book could be up for grabs!
